Where to start..I've told this tale so many times, i figured i'd write it down. So it all started back in beta, when immidiately i fell in love with the game. Release came quickly, and i started the game in Moenia going for pistoleer/creature handler. At the time these were the two professions that appealed most to me. Holy shit, i can control and capture creatures!
I grew up and moved to theed, joining the secret underground rebel force there, and started to get introduced to the world of PVP. I never really was well known or socialized much at this point (release), but i had one friend who was what DZ is now (hetero life partners). Her name was Ari. We actually were roomates outside theed when she suddenly asked me if i'd spot her 50k for trraining. I was so confused because she had dropped her TKM and was starting swordsmen. After asking why, she said that they would release the way to unlock jedi soon (was already in game, no one knew tho...i'm sure you remember that) and she said that grinding all the professions would probably help...and if anything just be fun and give us knowledge of the game.
So i started with her, profession after profession, pounding through them all and actually enjoying the grind on each one. It was absolutely amazing to me the difference between each profession, and the customizability of your character. As i was working on commando, my 29th profession to master (ya, holy shit) actually i just got my first skill in commando, the entire server (kauri) got the "Lord vader has detected a disturbance in the force. If you notice anyone strange, inform the empire at once" message, and i heard screams from my friend. She was the first to unlock, and i was so freaking jealous! I grinded all night listening to her go crazy about her jedi initiate. The next day i finished commando, and the very same message appeared to the server. It was my day. Mind you, this was back when unlocking jedi unlocked a slot, and you got that new slot to start on.
This was my jedi, and i'm proud to be the ONLY jedi on my server to have achieved the rank of "Jedi Master" completely fair and without fight clubbing.
It was awesome back then, cause jedi was this huge secret. My jedi trainer was a "Artisan trainer" in wayy farr (the lost city near jaabas palace) and when i went to him he taught me about jedi, but others he would teach artisan crap. Needless to say i was so freaking happy, until i read about perma death and such, after dying once already.
That toon eventually became the #1 pvper on the server mainly due to my shirt (had +25 knockdown defense) and no one could touch me.
But back in the good old days, me and Ari were pretty much the only 2 active and visible jedi pre 9, and i had such a good time.
Eventually the rebel outfit i called home (foundation stone) became a bunch of lamers and griefers, and the jedi used fight clubs to level up their FRS. This disgusted me, and combined with the lack of imperial pvp activity, i went imp. The drama this caused on the server was absolutely amazing. The 2 origional jedi switching sides? oh lordie!
Needless to say we went imperial, and it was the best time i've ever had in a game. FS was THE pvp force, and they felt betrayed and like they had something to prove...so gank squads led by findfriend were sent out left and right, chasing us across the galaxy. This led us to using teamspeak for enhanced teamwork, and to me finding out Ari was female (i thought it was a guy playing a girl toon) and eventually getting married (a story on its own, was us anda few friends in a guildhall for the wedding, and about 75 overt rebels waiting outside).
But anyways, we would wipe gank after gank because mostly they would be nubs/nub jedi, and we had the two best sabers in the game (compeltely perfect) and some sick pvp gear (my +25def vs kd).

Also, the FWG5 you see next to it was the single best i've ever even seen, with 856 damage unpupped (without powerup).
Eventually we got so fed up with this, we made the battle island. This was the island SW of Keren on naboo in the finger lakes. We FILLED the island with imperial bases, and spammed taunting emails at the rebels. It was such a fun experience always being outnumbered and defending our bases. I think in their entire duration we only lost like 3 bases total, which is amazing.
My alt was a bounty hunter/master swordsmen, and this was my favorite toon. Basically, being the #1 pvper as a jedi on the server got me a lot of shit...so i would log onto my bh, get a mission of the head rebel jedi, and slaughter him infront of his buddies. I had a legendary powerhammer which did 1500 dmg, and i was speedcapped. Most of the time they were down before they noticed.
Even through all this my favorite thing in the game was just chilling with my friends and crafting. I absolutely loved all the diff stuff you could do, and i did.
