Pre-Order? Collectors Edition?

Anyone know if you get to start playing early with pre-order as with some other games? I know you get a mammoth, a special bag and a guide book.

Also, do you think the collector's edition is worth it for the in-game items? namely:

Ring of Acheronia (Exclusive In-Game Item) - The ring offers special XP and stamina enhancements for players
The Drinking Cape (Bonus In-game Item) - the Drinking Cape gives you access to free drinks in all the taverns of Hyboria

I'm sure the drinking cape is kind of worthless.. Anywho, any thoughts?
