Thoughts about the front page

The following stuff on the front page doesnt really need to be on there, and is just cluttering it up, so lets remove it:

Online Users
Buddy list
Stats

The User CP is much too large, taking up the top of the screen, lets move it down to the bottom or make it so its on the side of the page. Actually Im looking at it and we essentially have two on the front page, two places to input your details and two places that welcome you tot he site when you are logged on. Lets remove the one int he middle and keep the one at the top right.

The news feed could be much reduced, lets cut it down somehow, perhaps just have the titles of the news posts?

Id like to have a short welcome note and description of the community, which should be the most obvious thing on the front page.

Random pic should be cut down to just one pic

The header image needs to be changed, it needs to be much shorter, so it doesnt take up as much of the page.

I think the various games forums should be linked directly to the front page, under a new link box called Chapters

Any other thoughts?
