Technical Question

I've always used the wireless access at our apartment complex because it was only $20 a month. Not sure what the d/l was, but the connection has gotten crappy so I decided to get it from elsewhere (well, Time Warner cause that's the only place here that you can get it from).
Anyhow, they have 2 packages - Road Runner and Road Runner light.
Road Runner is 3.5 Mb at 44.95 / month
RR Light is 768 Kb at 29.95 / month
I'm sure there are specials, but that's the regular rate.
What is needed for gaming. I mean, 768 Kb seems a hell of a lot better than the old 56 Kb from old phone modems. Do you really need 3.5 Mb?
