I need a better cooling solution.
Old 08-04-2006, 12:51 PM   #1 (permalink)

After a few unstable games of Dystopia and Hidden last night, I believe I've found the cause of all my system instabilities.

Apparently I OCed my vid card a bit much... Naturally, I dialed things down once I realized what was going on, and thankfully there doesn't seem to be any permanent damage. Still, I do want to get my system running back at the point it was. Just not when it's operating at 85 degrees Celsius under load.

Long story short, I need a more aggressive, inexpensive, air-cooled solution for my GF6800. Any suggestions?

Oh, and for those curious as to what point my system started bugging out like it did, my GPU speed was bumped up to 380 from stock 325, and my memory was at 800, up from 700.
