I know a lot of us use differing terms to refer to a lot of stuff, and there has been a little confusion... Plus, I'm not too clear on a few BF terms like "Dolphin Diving", "Stat Padding" or "Spawn Camping"(is spawn camping just waiting for vehicles to spawn or is that also killing people as they spawn?). So let's take this time to get on the same page!
General
Dolphin Diving - Players who dive to prone from running. Origin: Earlier Battlefield games, where going prone instantly increased your accuracy, so diving to the floor when entering combat was the wisest move. Now diving to prone decreases your accuracy initially, crouching is the best option.
Spawn Camping - Targetting enemy spawn points and immediately killing anyone who spawns. Spawn campers do not attempt to capture bases, just farm the kills. Linked to...
Stat Padding - Playing just to increase your stats, not caring about the end result of the game. Also applies to players who use friends on the opposing side to get lots of points. Linked to...
Smacktard - The name is applied to individuals who talk too much "smack" to the point where others might conclude that they are mentally challenged individuals (derogatory "tard"). Also applies to those players who will TK others to get the vehicles, along with anyone who plays outside the spirit of the game. Origin: BF1942
Whoring - Using the vehicles/weapons to rack up lots of easy kills, going as far as TKing to keep control of "their" vehicle.
Vehicles Walking Vehicles
Mech - Battletech term.
BFR or Biffer - Originally meant "BattleFrame Robotics" but most guys use it to mean "Big F'in Robots". Origin: Planetside.
Gal - Any transport gunship. Origin: Planetside.
Aircav - Air Cavalry; basically any attack aircraft. Origin: Planetside.
Equipment
Boomer - A detpack or C4. Cloaker- Recon using active camoflage. Origin: Planetside.

Cloaker- Recon using active camoflage - Origin: Planetside
Ghost
Infiltrator - Origin: Planetside
