Crap have I been busy this last week. For any of you who have played FFXI since Chains of Promathia and tried to get through the Promyvions. (Little annoying dungeons with a boss at the end that required EVERYONE to fire off their 2HRs [Over-powerful abilities that can be used once every two hours]).
Apparently CoP was about as annoying as an expansion can get. Thankfully Square-Enix decided to, in their March 2007 update, remove the XP loss you get inside a Boss Fight. One cannot imagine how thankful I am for that. Because I finally got past
Promathia.
If any of you ever looked ahead at it. He is the final boss, and while not the toughest in the line, he did prove a bit of a challenge.
The toughest was the god damned mother f*cking 6-4 fight against 5 Mammets, Omega, and Ultima. In one field that was about as big as... I dunno. Perhaps a Lodestar? Maybe 1.5 times the size of a Lodestar. Either way, the arena was smaller than hell. Omega with his more-health-than-the-final-boss, constant stunning, and the patented "Spam special attacks as I get closer to death" routine. Not to mention be began to attack faster the closer we brought him to death.
*Sigh* Either way. I'm glad I'm finally done with that crap. Now I got ToAU to screw around with, and from what I hear the boss fights on that expansion are a joke. Even the expansion pack features a dungeon that locks ALL weapons, armor, magic, song, ninjitsu, and whatever else you want to name.
Next thing you know they'll feature flying UFOs that'll rain death upon anyone who walks underneath it.
Oh yeah, they already do.
Either way. I got my
Rajas Ring. People ask me why I didn't go for the Tamas (+30 MP, +5 to INT and MND, and -3 Enmity).
This is the furthest I have ever gotten in an MMORPG. Hopefully I can get done with ToAU, Windurst, San d'Oria, and Apocalypse Nigh before they release their 5th expansion pack... no wait. It'll be their fourth. Thats right, its Square Enix. Not Sony Online.
P.S. For those of you who played and FFXI and always wondered what Sea/Al'Taieu looked like.
This is pretty much it. If you want, I'll post images of the dungeon inside and the entrance to the final CoP battle.
