Free running is awesome, as is the combat. The amount of NPCs is simply astounding, and the way you move through them is excellent.
Story is fine so far, only a few hours in so far, just completed the first assassination so have been presented with a bit more freedom about what i do next.
Only gripe I have so far is that despite being a massive world, you are limited to what you can do, which are:
Eavesdrop for information
Save citizens from guards
Pickpocket information
Once you have done those, you can whack your target, which is fun.
You can also train in combat in a ring.
Other than that, theres simply collectable flags and climbing the lookout points to get waypoints on your map.
Thats it, theres nothing else, unless you want to ride around on your horse all day or just free run about the place (archers will shoot you if you do).
EDIT: There is extra stuff to do, found a sub mission that wanted me to assassinate a specific guard, and another that wanted me to free run around and pick up flags.
Despite these limitations, so far I am enjoying it, and am going to make sure I do all the info gathering missions for each assassination, as it gives you more info and a better overview of whats going on. |
