| Well, first off, is it going to cause huge problems running the games I currently have, and have had for years now? Granted, some games are just way too old, but what about something like the original FarCry? It came out a few years ago and it's still quite demaning! And what about DirectX10, will it really be *that* much better than 9.0c? The new nVidia 8800 GTS and GTX are the top cards on the market right now, and if I'm not mistaken, they are the only two cards to support DirectX10. They do however put out incredibly good benchmarks with the current XP with 9.0c, I assume that's mostly due to their $400(GTS)-$600(GTX) dollar price tag, and nothing really to do with what it supports. Would the new DirectX even make a difference, or not until newer games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. come out? Any insight would be wonderful!
Also, real quick, does anyone know the word on how good the voice recognition software will be in Vista? Will it be pretty darn good, or should I just go out and get something at Fry's to do that for me.
It comes out on January 30th |
