My old corp is a bunch of goofballs.

I hope to God they don't promote me again for leaving
I kinda feel badly for my old corp. I had just found out via our leader that they got completely SCREWED by the Te-Ka(Ka-tet?) alliance. Like REALLY screwed. Our guys were into making capships for their golds, so obviously the alliance wanted some at a discount. Which would be fine, had they not been asking a 25% discount on it(Rorquals sell for about 2bil, they were asking 1.5). Net result, our miners and industry ppl burned out. Next up, they wanted 3000 blocks of ice. Not from the entire alliance, just from US. Burns even more of our miners out, and especially one player who was pretty much whoring the ice for us anyway. So that becomes a bust. After that, the alliance bitches that we're not fighting at all in any of these wars. Okay, we sally forth, lose a billion or so worth in assets and inflict more than that on the enemy. Alliance doesn't so much as bat an eye or even thank us for our efforts. So now our PVPers are broke and broken.
I'll be glad to be out of that alliance, but I'm a little sad that my soon-to-be-former corp ran into such hard luck. I do hope they have better luck in finding an alliance, and I sincerely hope that we don't end up on the wrong sides of a conflict.
