The WoW chapter of the Vindicators decided to make a home on the Illidan Server as a part of the Horde and have been there since Beta. Only Vindicators migrating from other games and a few players picked up around Azeroth were originally allowed to join which helped The Vindicators to remain one of the smaller guilds for over a year.

The original focus of the guild was relatively broad. Many players were interested in PvP and that remained a central theme for the Vindicators since many of its players and officers came from an FPS to join WoW. With one High Warlord and one Warlord with Vindicator tags over their heads, the Vindicators excelled in PvP and were able to do many smaller instances effortlessly. However, with the world of Azeroth and a game expanding around them, many of the members wanted to broaden the horizons of this old guild into new territory. The Vindicators refocused their efforts onto PvE and spent time and effort to change talent builds and gear to support the effort.

This transformation occurred in January 2006 and has since redefined the guild. Having immersed themselves into PvE, they advanced through the upper level instances with surprising speed. Their first weekend in MC saw the death of every single boss short of Majordomo and Ragnaros. After getting the necessary materials to douse the runes to summon Majordomo, they immediately killed him and have attempted Ragnaros a mere 3 weeks after starting MC. Ragnaros was quickly downed shrotly therafter and the Vindicators refocused their efforts on BWL. Nefarion joined the already long list of defeated bosses shortly thereafter, and the Vindicators started to kill enemies in the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj.

Once the Burning Crusade expansion was released, the Vindicators stayed true to their casual nature and started raiding once again and adjusting to the lower raid caps. With 2 groups clearing Karazhan weekly and with Gruul dead, raiding is once again becomming the main focus of the guild. Progress continues to keep pace with many other guilds eventhough the Vindicators only raid 1 day a week for 25 man instances. Many more accomplish will be soon to come.

The Vindicators will continue to pursue content and strive for perfection. With the teamwork and skill necessary to defeat all encounters, it will not be long until the Vindicators are side-by-side with the elite guilds of Illidan.
