Oh no, games are creating a world of isolated lonely youths!
How about you get some mates around and play on your console/DS?
How about you get on the interweb and play an online game.
How about you get on Xbox Live and shut the fuck up.
I garentee they surveyed 10 teachers who are close to retirement and switched off to technology.
Hell, in the Physics department Im working in we have an Xbox in the teachers room.
Kids today are called the digital generation for a reason; they have grown up with current tech and are generally miles ahead of adults who have just cottoned on to MP3.
I can ask 11 year olds to design me a leaflet on microbes and get something that wouldnt look out of place in a doctors surgery, most adults wouldnt have a clue how to word prosess it.
If you want to point fingers at anyone point them at parents, if their kid is lonely, organise them to have a freind over.
Teachers have about 120 kids PER DAY to look after, parents have what, 2? Get a grip, take responsibility.
Checking out the paper today I read about how the rebellious rock and roll generation is currently having kids, so what boundaries do they have? They often crave boundaries, and from classroom experience once you have set them they damned well like to have some structure, and respond well to it.
