Alot of people with the digital downloads of Battlefield 2142 are complaining that after EA Downloader updated to Ea link that they cannot play the game.

(Punkbuster errors and Invalid CD key errors.)

Go into your Battlefield 2142 folder, click "Support" and then go to 'Battlefield_code.exe"

Double click it. After that you will no longer get the error.

You will then have to go online and manually get pbsetup.exe and use the punkbuster updater to update your stuff for Battlefield 2142. (Straightforward.)

Then go into your Regedit Hkey local classes, Software, EA Games, Battlefield 2142, and edit the configuration file. It will have your CD key in it. Infront of your CDkey type x9392 and then accept changes.

If you do not do this, Punkbuster will kick you from servers.

This should fix it
